Meet the Team: Ashok Sen

Canyons is not just a company, but it's a community.

The people that run Canyons are not just employees but they are family.

We want to share their story with you!

Ashok, from Nepal, is one of our rafting guides!

He started his career as a rafting guide in 2003 and he's worked as an essential member of our team for the past three years!

What is your favourite part about working with Canyons?

It gets better every day, meeting new people and learning new friends. My favourite part is that all the staff are friendly, helpful and communication is very good.

Where do you like to explore in Japan?

I love anywhere where there is nature. I think my favourite part of Japan is Minakami because you can enjoy nature there the entire year.

Where are your favourite places to go canyoning?

I have been canyoning in both Minakami and Okutama. I love both places.

Rafting MinakamiWhat do you do when you're not rafting?

In my spare time, I watch movies and go and meet friends!

What inspired you to become a rafting guide?

My cousin brother is also a raft guide and he inspired me to learn. And from canyoning, I am always inspired by Mike.
