Apres Ski at Shiga Kogen
After a day on the slopes, most Shiga Kogen apres happens right where you're staying. The Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel's three buildings (East, West, and South) at the base of Yakebitaiyama run set-menu dinners and evening dining for guests, and Ichii Hotel and other base-area lodges offer similar half-board setups near Ichinose. Because Shiga Kogen is spread across several separate base areas rather than one central village, don't expect a bar-lined main street like some other Nagano resorts — evenings here are quieter, centred on your hotel's own restaurant and, at many properties, an onsen bath to soak tired legs before dinner.
