Rafting
The Spring Season brings world-class Grade 4+ whitewater and high thrills. The Summer Season involves playing inside and outside the raft on a mellow Grade 1-2 section.
The two seasons are very different in terms of distance covered on the river and the type of experience, so think about your ideal thrill level before you pick.
Canyons rafting tours are only available in Minakami.
Canyoning
If you haven't tried canyoning yet, Japan is an amazing location to get into this adventure sport.
Imagine crystal clear water, pure air, amazing views at every turn, and world-class canyons.
Our two main areas of Minakami and Okutama are both under 90 minutes from Tokyo.
Packrafting
Packrafting involves moving downriver on a single-person inflatable kayak.
It requires a decent level of fitness and swimming ability.
At Canyons, we use a level system. Level 1-2 is suitable for first-time packrafters to learn the basics and Level 3 or above is best for people with double-blade (kayaking) experience.

If you want to try both rafting and canyoning, then one of combo tours will be a perfect fit!
Minakami is known as an outdoor paradise with many outdoor activities on offer there. Why not stay for the night?
