Kusatsu area is one of the most famous onsen (hot spring) areas of Japan, located about 3 hours from Tokyo. The surrounding volcanic landscape lends itself to canyoning, creating a number of steep ravines carved through the basalt.
Hot spring (Yubatake)
Situated in the heart of the hot spring precinct, Yubatake is the symbol of Kusatsu Onsen.
