Go Myoko Ski School is a ski school based in Myoko Kogen, operated by Canyons.

The Myoko area has an incredible range of terrain for all levels of ability and some of the most consistent snowfalls in Japan, with a yearly average of over 14m! Canyons have a small team of highly experienced instructors that are providing lessons at Ikenotaira Onsen, Suginohara, Akakura Onsen and many other resorts in the Myoko area.


*Note: Your lesson request will be checked by a member of our team and payment invoice sent via email if the lesson is available. We require full payment to confirm your instructor and requested lesson time slot. Our office hours are between 0830-1700, if you make a request after 1700 you will be contacted the following day.

Available: Every day; for all ability levels (Levels 1 - 6)

  • Ski minimum age: 3 years old

  • Snowboard minimum age: 6 years old

  • Capacity per instructor: 1-6 people


  • Lift tickets and rental are not included in the price and are to be prepared before the lesson start time

  • Price is charged per instructor.

  • Lesson 4 hrs or more include shuttle service to and from the resort (transport must be requested in advance and is subject to availability)

  • INSURANCE: The price of the lesson does not include accident insurance. Please obtain travel insurance to cover snowsports and all participants. We recommend ALL lesson participants have travel insurance. You can purchase Japan travel specific insurance here.


Our main office is located at Ikenotaira Onsen Ski Resort, which is the best area for beginners to learn to ski or snowboard. The majority of the resort is green or blue runs with the widest slopes in Myoko.

If you want to try something more challenging we can take you to the neighboring Myoko Suginohara, the highest resort in Myoko,with the longest runs and steeper slopes.
